One of the greatest things about using banner advertising to get visitors to your site is the fact that you can literally use your competition to show you exactly where to put your ads so you can make the most amount of money with this traffic source. In this article I want to show you exactly how to make this happen in your niche.
Step #1 – Find another competitor in your niche who is doing what you are doing.
What you want to do is fine a competitor who is doing what you are doing and then figure out where they are buying banner ads from.
The easiest way to figure this out is to have a look at their backlinks and then checkout all the sites that have their links on them.
That way you will be able to start building a profile on your competition so you can start to see where they are spending their advertising money in your niche market.
Step #2 – You want to make sure they renew their ads.
What you want to do is watch and see to make sure they renew their advertising with the sites that they have banners on. Once you see that they have renewed an ad, you want to then start advertising on that site as well.
The reason that you want to wait until they renew their ads is because you want to know if the site is making them money or not! If it is working for them they will renew the ad & if the site is losing them money – they will likely not spend more money with that site.
The reason you want to do all this work is so you can lower your risk of buying ads on sites that will not make you a profit.
